Please Think of Us

UPDATE 9/13/07:  Austin has his Upper GI scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) morning at 9:00 a.m.  He is also getting a colonoscopy scheduled just in case we need to do it.  But since it is in the big city that definitely won’t be scheduled tomorrow.  We have not heard any results on the sample.Austin is back in school today but has to take it easy.  Kevin called Austin’s mom about ten minutes ago to inform her of the situation.  She was hateful at first, but calmed down when she found out that it had been going on since her house and the doctors are suggesting it could be from a bleeding ulcer.We are now just looking forward to tomorrow and pray they can get us some answers ASAP.

Thanks everyone for your votes of support and your prayers.  You have no idea how much it means to me.  (I’m teary and I just don’t get teary…lol). 

Austin, our 13 year old, is having a tough time right now.  He started internally bleeding last night.  It got to be pretty bad.  My husband took him to the hospital at about 10:00 pm.  The hospital wanted a sample of what he was passing and suggested a colonoscopy. 

This morning my husband got Austin into our regular physician.  She wants to try to do an Upper GI first.  If that does not show anything then we will have to do the colonoscopy.  We can’t do that in our county because no doctors perform those in children under 16.  The closest doctor that could is 200 miles away.

We got our sample and got that dropped off to the lab at our hospital.  We have not timeframe on results.

Our primary doctor is setting up the appointment for the Upper GI and that could take a day or two.

Hopefully, and prayerfully , we will have answers by this weekend.
