More Suh-weet News!!

My dad called me this morning and he got his pickup truck back!!!  (if ya have no clue what I’m talking about read this post before you go on )

My dad said on Wednesday he was leaving work.  He works in a small neighboring town to ours.  He saw this truck that was the same year and model as his.  He decided to follow just to see.  It didn’t have a toolbox or bed liner like his truck did.  None of the bumper stickers were on it that he had.  The hood and other parts of it were primered gray.  It also had plates from a neighboring state on it. 

But as he followed it he noticed that there was a chunk out of the bumper just like his truck had.  So he called the sheriff that had done the police report and asked him to run the license plate for him.  It came back as a truck that was a different year and model!!  Right about that time the truck realized it was being followed.  It flipped a U and hauled butt down a side road.  My dad lost it.

The next day (yesterday) my favorite little cousin and her new hubby called my dad and told him that they were following that truck and it had just turned into a motel and parked.  My dad called the local police and they wouldn’t do anything.  My mother insisted that they go over and just check it out.  So they did and it was the same truck!  My dad called the sheriff that had done the police report and told him what was up.  He dispatched the local police and told them to deal with the situation NOW!  So they did.

My dad said that it seemed like eternity for the police to get there.  They were watching from a gas station across the street.  Then everything happened so fast.  The motel was swarmed.  Cops then starting coming with their lights on.  He saw one guy running across the 4-way with a cop and a dog on his tail. 

The next thing he knew his phone was ringing.  It was a dispatcher telling him that they had his truck.  He couldn’t believe it.  He asked her if they checked the VIN number to make sure.  She said they did and it was 100% his pick up truck.

There was another man in the hotel room.  The police were not able to catch either man but they now have good descriptions on them.  We still think my cousin may have had a hand in the theft but we’ll just wait and see what develops.

My dad is just on cloud nine today.  It’s too cool.

Suh-weeet News!

All of my blood tests came back perfectly normal!!! They tested for HIV, arthritis and cancers/diseases of the blood.  I have to go back in 6 months and test for the HIV one more time since I know have 2 negatives and a positive test for it.  The doc isn’t worried though.  She said it’s just protocol.  So now, healthwise, I can focus on my appointment next week on if I need a hysterectomy and when we can do it.
