One of our dogs just chewed up a book here for twenty dollars and I was thinking I would just buy a replacement and take it in. Don't they just put the codes in when they buy them? That excuse does not make sense. Ugh. I love the library but I have had frustrating experiences too. Once I was accused of Maizie drawing all over a book. She did not. The lady said I had to pay for it and I refused. She called me about four more times yelling at me. Finally, I asked to speak to a manager and she never called me again. It was really weird. Oh no. But if you have an overdue book you can't check anything out. Which I think is BS. We had a kind of similar incident although was able to buy the book from Amazon after doing so, somehow the book magically appeared at the library. Figures.... Going to the library is such a nightmare that I usually try and go alone but there is rarely enough minutes in the day.
