On a Happier Note…

I’m getting another raise!!  My bank works with a statewide program that pools together what everyone is paying for certain jobs.  The bank wants to pay it’s employee competitive wages.  They just reevaluated everyones pay and I came up not receiving what I deserve by $.11.  So at the beginning of the New Year I will start making $.11 more an hour than what I do now.  Hopefully, it doesn’t stick me in a new tax bracket but I won’t have to worry about that just yet.

My supervisor told me that I have been the first and only one that has ever received such an honor.  God is watching over us!!

Gotta Vent! (PG-13!)

I busted my buns on a 10-page paper for my English course.  It was on Hemingway’s wives.  Well, I got it back today.  It was bloody as hell. 

One comment read:  Needs more analysis.  Looks like research paper.  Um, I kind of thought that it was!

Another comment read:  Do you know that quotes are not the only things you have to cite?  Um no because you said in class that you didn’t want to see those damn cite marks throughout the paper and to only cite quotes and direct phrases!

Another comment was a question mark out beside a worksheet that was to be turned in with the paper saying Missing.  Yeah it’s missing!  Remember I was in bed all week on Lortabs.  I emailed you about class and you said I was good to go. Never a word about the damn worksheet.  So you can eat those 20 points!!

So now this weekend I have to totally rip apart this paper I busted my hump on.  Ya know what is kinda funny.  All of the other papers in class I did at the last minute and got A’s.  I spent time on this one every day and I think I got a C or a D on it.  You know what that tells me??  No more thinking!!!
