My Free Day

I have been soooo busy today!!  I had a good time but I’m skipping my Christmas party because I’m now suffering social anxiety.  I can only do so many people for so long.  Plus this whole Lauren dating thing is stressing me out majorly.  There is no reason why except that Momma Bear is feeling extremely protective of her cub….I don’t care that I didn’t give birth to her!

I woke up this morning going full steam ahead.  Lauren and I got the house cleaned up by 8:30.  Then we headed to the city to run some errands and do some shopping.  I found an awesome sale at JcPenny’s!  I bought $260 worth of clothes for the three youngest children for Christmas for …(drum roll please)….$96!  Since I was using my hubby’s credit card, I think he fell a little more in love with me today. 

At 2:00, Lauren and I went to a play at her high school.  Actually, it was Kevin and I’s high school too.  And I’m sure it will be Austins, Matthews, and Rachel’s as well.  The play was about Scrooge.  It wasn’t too bad.  I went because the neighbor girl was in it.  But I think Lauren wanted to go because her boyfriend, Chris, was in it.  

After the play I got to meet Chris.  I never imagined meeting my daughter’s boyfriend and him have on eyeliner, face makeup and lipstick.  It was a new one.  He was very respectable.  Which worries me.  He’s almost too perfect.  But we have our rules and I know Lauren will abide by them….or else death becomes her!  He will coming over next Saturday night for dinner.  And we will see him again on Thursday when him and Lauren has a choir concert.  He is an excellent singer.  I do give him that.  But that’s all I give him right now.

Lauren has a boyfriend (sigh).  I’m getting old.
