New Family Blog

Well, Austin is turning into a man and taking up the family trade .  He started his own blog last night.  Oddly enough, I think counseling inspired him.  We are thrilled because he holds so much in.  Kevin and I are hoping that once he gets rolling on the blog train he can start letting out some of the repressed anger from his biological mother’s abuse.  We’ll see.  Just the fact that he started expressing himself in a blog is a HUGE step!!

He has only wrote one post at this point.  So if you get time check it out and drop him a comment.  He’ll love it .  Austin’s Blog

BTW….I just read Austin’s latest post.  He has the word “retard” in it.  I know how abrasive some people get when they see that word.  Keep in mind Austin is only 13 and his bio mom didn’t quite raise him in the best atmosphere.  Though I will not change that word, I have explained to him about being politically correct and that many see that word as a cuss word.   Because he is 13, I will leave it up to him to decide if he should change the word or leave it. So please no hate comments to him about using that word.  Gracias :)

The Ring

Yesterday morning, while I was getting ready for work, Rachel came in jabbering to me as always.  She was chattering about this ring she got for her birthday.

Rachel:  Check it out mom!

Me:   What?

Rachel:  This ring doesn’t fit on my thumb or on my pinkie. 

Me:  That’s cuz it’s not a thumb or pinkie ring.

Rachel:  Well, it fits on all these fingers.

Me:  That’s cool.  It give you lots of options.

Rachel:  Yep!  Look it fits on my wedding finger. 

Me:  Neat, now your future husband can just use that ring to size you up.

She yanked the ring off of her finger and said, “Ooops!  Now I’m divorced!”
