New Family Blog

January 17, 2008

Well, Austin is turning into a man and taking up the family trade ;-) .  He started his own blog last night.  Oddly enough, I think counseling inspired him.  We are thrilled because he holds so much in.  Kevin and I are hoping that once he gets rolling on the blog train he can start letting out some of the repressed anger from his biological mother’s abuse.  We’ll see.  Just the fact that he started expressing himself in a blog is a HUGE step!!

He has only wrote one post at this point.  So if you get time check it out and drop him a comment.  He’ll love it :)Austin’s Blog

BTW….I just read Austin’s latest post.  He has the word “retard” in it.  I know how abrasive some people get when they see that word.  Keep in mind Austin is only 13 and his bio mom didn’t quite raise him in the best atmosphere.  Though I will not change that word, I have explained to him about being politically correct and that many see that word as a cuss word.   Because he is 13, I will leave it up to him to decide if he should change the word or leave it. So please no hate comments to him about using that word.  Gracias :)

Just left a message at Austin’s blog. It’s really great that he has started blogging too. They’re starting younger and younger these days, making me feel even older. LOL

I’ve been catching up on your posts. I hope the insurance brouhaha gets settled very soon. I was deadlocked with my HMO for over a year in 2001, when they refused to cover my surgery even after the doctors had explained repeatedly that my case falls under the purview of the policy. In the end, I had to settle half the bill. Bummer.

Still, I pray for a better outcome for you, my friend. I will continue to cover you with prayers for blessings, protection, and peace.
