Band-aid for Snorts
Matty always wakes up before the sun rises on the horizon. He is a good boy though and usually just stays in his bed. If he does “get up” it is just to stare out the window above his bed. Staring out the window if Matty’s biggest joy, and our blinds show it! He gives them no justice. ![]()
Well, Matty was up this morning at 5 a.m. jabbering out his bedroom window. By the time I fully woke up at 7, he was rip roaring ready to go. Kevin was still crashed out, oblivious to an outside world.
Matty slowly sauntered into my bedroom. The first thing out of his mouth was, “Kevin snorts.”

“Yes Matt, Kevin snorts.”
“Kevin snorts loud.”
“Mmmmhmmmm“
“Band-aid”
“Well, I’m sure Kevin needs a band-aid for something but he is sleeping right now.”
“Kevin snorts.”
“I thought we established that, son.”
“Kevin band-aid.”
This whole conversation was outside of Lauren’s bedroom door and she had had enough. She frustratingly tells Matty, “A band-aid is not going to help Dad’s snoring, Matt.” I could soo see her roll her eyes when she made this statement. ![]()
But then it dawned on me what Matty was thinking. Breathe Right Strips!! They are like band-aids and they go on the nose to help calm down the “snorts.” I think both of my parents use them and it’s highly possibly his paternal grandpa does too. So one of the “parents” must have told them what they were for. I’m sure he thought they had a band-aid on their nose.
And the whole time we thought he was talking nonsense! ![]()

What a smart cookie! I can also imagine Lauren rolling her eyes about it, though.

Ha ha ha ha! That is so funny! One of David’s favorite things when he’s at home in the mornings is to go in and lay down with Doug while he sleeps. (Doug works nights) So David will go in there and snuggle up to Doug but if Doug’s snoring, he’ll come back out and be like “Mom, da’snoring.” He doesn’t like it cause it’s loud. LOL! Once it stops though, he’ll head right back in and lay down with dad again! I should tell David about bandaids for snoring! LOL

Awesome! Very smart kiddo. I have never heard of anyone who tried them. Maybe they would work!

“Out of the mouths of babes” came immediately to mind. Aren’t they priceless!?
