I have realized more wierd food issues that I have. I may have to commit myself soon
-
Tuna fish sandwiches must be made with shredded cheese and diced pickles. But the madness doesn’t stop there. I put tuna on one side of the bread and then fold it in half. This is the only sandwich that I HAVE to eat in halves.
-
I can’t eat plain bologna sandwiches. They must have a layer of potato chips in them.
-
I love bread and butter with certain meals. Once my bread is buttered, then it must be folded in half. I don’t like touching the butter. I have no clue why. Probably because it is cold and slimy….a bad combination.
-
I’m not a fan of caramel. Of course, there is an exception….if it is with apples. Apples and caramel just seem so perfect together.
Now, I know some of you are thinking, “What a spoiled you-know-what!! She should just be happy she has food.” Trust me, I am grateful. I have had times where I didn’t know where my next meal would be coming from. I have had times where I managed to make a bag of potatoes sustain me for a week. I have forsaken food in order for my children to eat.
I think my wierd food issues just come from being a fragile X carrier. Now that my hubby has had to make my plate/meals I’ve just realized them. And I try not to have people go out of their way because of my food issues. I will either not eat or choke it down with lots of water.
I just hope I don’t find more….and that no more develop as I get older!

if I weren’t about to literally cough up a lung, I could TOTALLY out-weird you on the foodies weirdness. I am absolutely the most insane pickiest eater in all of the free world, and maybe beyond. I totally agree with the chips in the sandwich but NO BOLOGNA.
When I get my strength (and my wit) back, I’ll post about my limitless food oddities…
and I agree: it’s totally a CARRIER THANG!!

I don’t think you’re spoiled– you’re just weird!
I think on some level we all have food weirdness… although, yours are MUCH weirder than mine! LOL!

Hey! just noticed your mood for today– are you still on pain medicine?
I am on a little bit of pain meds. I am trying to not take them unless I need to. I took one when I woke up and that has been it all day

Too funny! I think those pain medications are making you think too much!
If you need a pain med…take one! Don’t try to be Superwoman too soon.
I think you may have a point about thinking too much

Oh No! Please, do not say “and that no more develop as I get older!” For where is the “adventure” in that? We know (with an experienced certainty) that SOMETHING is going to ‘develop’, ‘evolve’, or perhaps even ‘degrade.’ So, what the hey! I vote for challenging Life to come up with some new surprise that we can not laugh at. (She is going to do what she wants anyway.) But our response to those “bumps in the road” is what makes us either bitter or better. You seem to me to be the “better” sort. And I enjoy your accounts of that fact demonstrated.
