Trusera

Maddy from Whitterer on Autism introduced the new website, Trusera, recently.  It was created as a health website that links up people dealing with similar issues.  It is invitation only.  You can fill out a very simple form and submit it.  They will review your information and blog (if you have one).  If you fit the bill, which I’m sure most of you will, you will receive an email letting you know that you are in.  The reason it is invitation only is to prohibit spammers and allow legit people in.

trusera.jpgI recently joined and I really like it. It has internal email.  You can make connections with other people with the same medical concerns.  You can compliment other people.  You can transfer over your blog posts.  You can also create a story with chapters to chronicle your life with the health concern you are focusing on.  You can also link up to your email system and invite others in your support network to join as well.

This is brand new.  It is just starting up.  There are already a few autism professionals, families and patients on there.  It looks like I’m the only one with an association to fragile x syndrome at the moment but I know that we can make those numbers grow exponentially.  We have such an awesome community and support group just in the blogging world.

So I invite all of you to check out the website and see if this is something you would be interested in participating in.  There is also a corporate blog to learn more about the behind the scenes stuff to Trusera at Trusera Beta Blog

Hope to see you all there :)

Hi! We love having you as a member and are excited about the possibilities of new communities forming around fragile x syndrome. Anyone who’s interested can sign up for membership at http://www.trusera.com/membership_requests/new. Just note “fragile X syndrome” in your health interests and I’ll personally send out an invitation.
Thanks and best wishes - Kim from Trusera

Thank you Kim for such a quick and personal response :).

Hmmmm…..sounds very interesting. I will have to think about it. I hope more families with Fragile X find out about it. Possibly you could put something about it on your side bar in the hopes more Fragile X families will learn about it and join.

I checked the site out a few days ago. It looked really nice. I just do not think I could keep up with anymore than I have. I do not know how some of you do it.
I am just a small time blogger.

lol….i fully understand. I questioned that too. I like to keep things simple so I had to think about it a lot first :). The only reason I can keep up with stuff right now is because I’m still home from the hysterectomy. Once I return to work it won’t be so easy anymore.
