Be My Mommy?!

As my grandma would say, I got thrown for a loop this morning. 

Lauren:  I love hanging out in the bathroom with you in the mornings.

Beth:  Do ya?! 

Lauren:  Yeah.  What would it take for you to be my mom?

Beth:  You mean like adopt you?

Lauren:  Yeah.  I don’t want my mom to be my mom anymore.

Beth:  Well, she would have to at least have no contact with you for one year.

Lauren:  That doesn’t look to be a problem.

Beth:  Then we would have to get a lawyer and take it to court.  I’m sure they would have to find your mom to see if she would contest it.  I’m sure she would just out of spite.

Lauren:  Do you want to be my mom?

Beth:  Absolutely!
