Prayer Concern

Before I get into this: My supervisor asked if I ever had just a noneventful month.  My answer is no!  Never!  I would like to have one but nope.  I am a walking soap opera.

My father-in-law is in the big city today to get a pacemaker.  They noticed this morning that his red blood cell count was too low.  They have been running tests on him to find out why.  It looks like he has a bleeding ulcer.  This has now turned into something that isn’t at all routine.  He is being shuffled between 2-3 hospitals down there.  I can’t keep up with all the tests and things they want to do for him.  He HAS to get this pacemaker if he is going to live much longer.

Our family is a little on edge right now.  After this exhausting week we may have to drive 3 hours on Saturday to see him.  And hospitals are never real reenergizing.  The only one down there with him right now is my mother-in-law and I don’t think she was planning on having to be there for the weekend.  She may need a break and for us to bring some things from her house.

Update:  They called off the pacemaker surgery for a couple of weeks.  He is getting a blood transfusion right now.  They hope to send him back home tomorrow, but they may keep him one extra night.

I’m Beat

I’m skipping out on FXS Memories today.  Sorry guys.  This week has been brutal.

First I had Tax Day.

Then I had the day after Tax Day.  The morning was spent cleaning up the mess from Tax Day.  The afternoon was spent with my assistant.  She was forced to quit because of complications in her pregnancy.  We were going through her work and divvying it up between the staff.  After work was Rachel’s soccer practice and going to my parents to say good-bye to my grandma’s.  Once I got home at 7, I was beat.  I went to sleep early again last night.

Today I need to go through the pile of stuff that I got from my former assistant.  It looks like a 9 hour day.  After work I just plan to do as little as possible and hang with my babies.

Hope everyone has a great day. :)
