Being Mean Pays Off

We recently grounded Austin because of crappy grades.  This groundation was intensive and didn’t end until school because of his grades.  Well, Kevin sent an email this morning to his teachers to see how he was doing.  This was the report:

Math:

Good Morning~!

Austin currently has a 71% (C-) in math.  He did a fantastic job on DMA and Vocabulary quizzes last Friday, receiving an 80% and 100% respectively.  He has all assignments in and has been participating in class a bit more than in the past.   He is very tired (sleepy) after lunch….

English:

All current work is in. 81%.  Seems to be more on track lately, is anything different?

Social Studies:

Better the past week or so.  76% as of today, health (cough) better, attitude too.

and Science:

Austin has an 85% with all assignments handed in J

I hate to be so harsh on the kid.  Kevin and I both do, but we are so happy that it worked.  Maybe the military will be good for him. (He has wanted to join the marines for years now).  He seems to follow a militia rule pretty darn well.  Hopefully he can keep it up and pass 7th grade.
