I have a 7cm (well it was that size a few weeks ago) on my right ovary. I have NEVER had pain on my right side. I was shocked when the dr told me that. I have all of my pain on my left side and in my back. My dco said that the pain on my left side is because the cyst on the right side is so big it is causing my left ovary to move and that is where the pain is coming from. My back pain is a constant thing. I have a family history of cancer so my doc did a CA-125 and it came back high, I have had 2 ultrasounds and a CT scan, and the CT found some enlarged lymph nodes, so I have to go see a GYN-oncologist on Aug 7th.

Oh I forgot to mention that I am only 26 years old.

I was at the ER on Monday with horrible abdominal pain on the left side. They ran a bunch of tests and said it was probably a cyst on my right ovary. I didn’t believe them because that’s not where I felt it at all, but you say you had pain on the left with a cyst on the right. Is that common? I can’t find anyone else that has happened to. Was the pain localized? Mine went all the way from my leg to my ribcage and even into my back, but nothing on my right side at all…I just don’t want them to miss the real problem because they found something to blame it on, you know?

Hey girl it sounds like you need to make yourself well before you start doing anything else for anyone else. I know its hard and you probably don’t like hearing because trust me I don’t like hearing it either but I am finally going to get my ass in this thursday. Quit making excuses and go. You can’t keep going on like I have because it will just get worse and you know that. I’m not trying to be rude and your an awesome person but honey its time to put yourself before anyone else. Tell your brother to handle the wedding because you have to get yourself taken care of. As far as your daughters birthday you can still plan it more than likely they are going to send you to more than one specialist to check you out and it will probably be another 3 or 4 months before they do anything. PLEASE GO!!!!!!

yeah…look who’s talking Miss 3 Years Later I plan to go but I just can’t this month. Maybe towards the last week or so. The thing with my doc is that she is the specialist so she can get me in and sometimes schedule a procedure in a week…maybe two. But she does try to work with my schedule so I do need to work her in.

Screw watching waiting. You need to get this cyst taken care of once and for all. The pain is keeping you from doing things- gee, like LIFE. I’m afraid that the longer you wait, the worse it’s going to get.
