Sicko’s

I stayed home today because I was feeling pretty crappy. At about 11:30 Lauren called me and wanted me to get her from school.  She was feeling really crappy too.  I decided then and there that we weren’t going to suck it up any longer.  It had been a week and we needed to see if this crud is bacterial or viral.  (Viral infections you have to suck up but bacterial need to be treated with medication).

I am really glad that we did.  We have a contagious upper respiratory infection.  Which means that the rest of the family will have it by the time the weekend is over.  So Lauren and I both have amoxicillin to take for the next 10 days.  

I had to chuckle when I got home.  We had gone to Urgent Care since we don’t have a doctor right now.  The doctor we got has the first name, Allegra.  For those of you who don’t know…Allegra is the name of a drug for allergies. 

We don’t have a doctor because ours decided to move to Houston.  I think God is taking care of her right now. A few more weeks of those ants and she will be running right back to where she belongs.  We don’t get our new doctor until the middle of next month.  So of course, everyone will get sick now.  Sweet irony.
