Mini conversations
August 9, 2008
Beth: Bedtime, time for smooches.
Rachel: Ewww….no kisses.
Beth: What!? No kisses. Why not?
Rachel: You didn’t sign the contract.
Beth: Your birth certificate is your signed contract.

Lauren’s Principal: How are you doing ma’am?
Beth: I’m okay.
Lauren: She’s had to have another surgery!
Lauren’s principal: What is going on?
Beth: I had ovarian cysts. It just took 3 surgeries in 18 months for them to figure it out.
Lauren’s principal: What kind were they?
Beth: Hemoraggic…but don’t ask me to spell it cuz there is no way I can.
Lauren’s principal: Why not!? You took my biology and human anatomy class. You should know how.
Beth: I was absent those days.
Lauren: That is a good excuse.
Beth: It only works if you are an adult!!

Matty: Dad is the ice cream man!?
Beth: Yep.
Matty: I loooove ice cream!
Beth: No you don’t.
Matty: I know. Ice cream is gwoss.

Lauren: I plan to get pregnant…
Beth: (chokes on air)
Lauren: …so my baby could be born on Halloween.
Beth: Honey, I know that we can talk like friends on a lot of issues but I’m still your mom so please never start a sentence with “i plan to get pregnant” ever again. Ok?
Lauren: (laughing) I wondered why you choked and turned pale.

That is hilarious! I think I would have started yelling before the poor girl got the rest of her sentance out!
Coincidently, my brother’s son was born the day before Hallowe’en. He was hoping to delay the birth by 5 hours. Funny, his wife & the surgical team did not see the logic in that one at all!
