Top 10 Reasons I’m NOT World’s Worst Mom

I saw this on Good Enough Mama’s blog and LOVED it. I just had to do it too.
1. I don’t beat my kids. When I feel like I could just strangle them, I make sure there is a responsible person in the home and I go for a drive. Length and distance is determined by their stupidity.
2. I don’t make them scrub the toilet with a toothbrush when they are being bad. They get to use Clorox scrubber thingys.
3. I give them choices. They can have brussel sprouts or asparagus. They can pick up dog poo in the back yard or clean both the bathrooms.
4. The teens get their own rooms…even if they means that Austin’s used to be the living room.
5. My kids tell me they love me…even though it usually involves threatening them with the loss of a very special gaming system.
6. Rachel says I’m not the worst mommy cuz I don’t smack her in the face….I smack her butt instead.
7. Lauren says that I don’t throw her down the stairs…we don’t have any stairs.
8. Rachel says that I don’t lock them in the closet…the closets don’t have doors or locks
9. Lauren says that I don’t pull hair…she is 8 inches taller than me…I can’t reach it!!
10. Kevin says that I’m not the worst ever cuz I love my stepkids, I’m nice and I listen. Awww

I love Lauren’s stairs comment. That’s priceless! I guess she’s really grateful about the lack of stairs in your house, huh?

You betcha – I have my own little list – includes “I give them vitamins most mornings” and “I sincerely tell them I love them at least once a day” and “they have a roof over their heads – the lawn may not be edged, but the roof still stands!”
