Still Sick…Still Stressed

I had a major headache last night. A lot of time caffeine helps my headaches but I can’t take excedrin. So I drank a cup of coffee. My stomach was not ready for that yet. I spent hours last night in total agony. This morning I woke up feeling a little bit better but my back and stomach muscles are killing me. My tummy is still gurgling so no coffee for me today.
As for stress, well, that is in overdrive. Lauren came home with a hickey yesterday. Those of you who don’t have daughters be grateful right now. I’m irritated and Kevin is beyond pissed! I knew about it shortly after it happened. I didn’t tell Kevin because I felt that Lauren is 16 now and she needs to take responsibility for her actions irregardless of how tough that is. She had done 3 major faux pas: she went off campus without permission, she got a hickey, and then she tried to hide it & lie to her dad about it. I can understand trying to hide it until you get get the balls to be straight up and honest about it but that didn’t happen. Stress overload. Long weekend

Oh girl, I sure hope you feel better soon. Stress headaches suck. Maybe a footrub will help. It must be in the air because I ,too, have been highly stressed….
And the drama of a first hickey…..when I was 15, I was hanging out with some friends and they knew how strict my father was. They thought it was really funny to hold me down and give me a super dark large hickey. I got in so much trouble…not a fun moment.

I hope you feel better! Stress headaches are awful. I’m on day 3 of one right now.
Hickey??? Oh my goodness! I’d be upset beyond words, too.
I hope you’ll be able to do something relaxing for yourself. Stress wreaks havoc on our systems way too easily.

At least the hicky was somewhere you could see……. No sure if thinking about how it could be worse, makes it any better, but I hope you feel well soon.

I remember having one hickey when a teenager – I was so embarrassed by it it never happened again. My step daughter used to wear them almost as badges as if to say “look at me” – thankfully she has grown out of that particular phase.

Oh my. It must be hickey season. A friend of mine just had her teen come home with one the other day and she about passed out.
