Pumpkin Patch 2008
Matthew’s favorite part of the year is going to the pumpkin patch. He starts talking about it at the beginning of October and doesn’t let up until we finally go. I think everyone had a good time. It was a beautiful fall day.
We did the corn maze first. We let Lauren lead. Of course, Austin went his own way. Lauren rocked though. She was an “Amazing Mazer” completing it in less than 2 minutes
After the Maize Maze, Austin went to the potato shooter. He got so close to the targets. With practice I think he will be a great shot someday. Then we headed over to the hayride to the pumpkin patch. Boy was Matthew ready for that. He got all excited when the tractor showed up.
Of course, Matty got a little nervous once the tractor started pulling us off to the patch. He had to hold hands with Lauren.
Matty was able to pick out the “perfect” pumpkin in the sea of orange. He was very excited to have one. It is now our centerpiece on our kitchen table.
When we got back to the main area of the farm, Rachel played in a big pit of dried corn. Lauren buried her in it. Rachel also went on little train ride while Kevin and I checked out the farm store. Kevin and I could go nuts in there. They have some good stuff. We were only at the farm about an hour but it was enough to satisfy Matthew…until next year
(For those of you with my Shutterfly information: I will post pics with shots of the kids at the patch tomorrow night. If you lost your password, or you aren’t hooked up yet, you can email me at fragile.what@yahoo.com and I’ll get you going.
If you have my myspace info pics are already uploaded!)
