Are we moving or not!?
October 27, 2008
So where are we at with moving?? I have heard that question so many times. It’s hard to explain. It’s frustrating at best. So I’m going to pretend that none of the hullabaloo (that is a word by the way!) happened and show what is up from today on. This will be easiest with a timeline:
Today, October 27, 2008 ~ We are preapproved for a loan in new town. Our house is on the market.
Monday, December 1, 2008 ~ We must have a solid offer on our house. Solid means that all the papers are signed, we have earnest money in hand and a closing date set. If we don’t have this then we do not move. We stay put and life can continue as normal.
Monday, December 29, 2008 ~ We have to be closed on our home that is for sale. I also must have a job in our new town. The bank wants proof of these things.
Monday, January 29, 2009 ~ we have to have picked out a house in our new town and have activated the loan that is preapproved. Then we are good to go to build a life in our new town.
It has been so stressful that I don’t care what happens either way. I have put this entire matter into Gods hands. I don’t ask questions. I don’t fret. I just go through my day. If someone wants to look at the house I make sure the kids dirty unders are put away and there are no dishes in the sink and go on my merry way. Kevin will let me know if there is an offer and where I need to sign. When we get an offer then I will start to seriously look for a job. At the moment I put résumés out there if I see something that is not hiring immediately and will open after the new year ~ which there isn’t much of at the moment. If something major happens I’ll fill you all in

That is such a good outlook–to leave it all in God’s hands. It will all work out. =)
