Please Lord Let me Have a Job by Friday :(

I’m terrified to go to work tomorrow.  So we all know about my wonderful work review on Friday of last week. I got passed over for a 4% raise because of my absenteeism due to my ovarian cysts and the surgeries to learn that they were the issue.

Absenteeism is prevailing in my life.  I got a call from the vice principal at the high school today at 11:18 a.m.  I won’t go into any details for Lauren’s privacy but she has been suspended for the next three days.  A parent had to go pick her up from school.  I work in a neighboring town, on the far side of it.  It is a 30 minute drive to our home town on a good day.   It was lunch time.  It was not a good day. 

By the time I got her picked up from school & got back home is was at least 90 minutes later.  Kevin met me at home so we could discuss the issue with her and set her punishment.  By then it was 1:30.  I was supposed to get off at 3:30 for Rachel’s soccer practice.  It wasn’t worth the price of gas to drive all the way in and all the way back home.  So I lost 4 hours of work today.  Plus Lauren will be coming with me to work for the next two days and staring at the microwave in the break room. 

If I was my mean arse, evil boss I’d fire me too.
