Good Saturday
We all had a good Saturday in our little corner of America. I took Rachel and her friend to town. Kevin took the rest of the kids and his momma shopping for winter gear. Currently, Kevin and I have only 1 child ~ Matty.
When I told Rachel that we would have Vanessa today she bounced around the kitchen like a ping pong ball. It was too funny. We picked up Vanessa around 10 this morning. Then I dropped off Kevin and the rest of the kids at his mom’s. The girls really liked the movie. It was Barbie in the Christmas Carol. I was sick of it about halfway through but only because it was Barbie’s take on Scrooge and that story is so overdone to me. Of course it went a lot longer than I had expected. But like I said, the girls had a good time.
Then we went to my hair salon for Rachel and I’s haircuts. Vanessa was shocked at how curly Rachel’s hair was. It amazes me sometimes too. Oh while we were at the mall the girls bought themselves a Best Friends necklace. It was too cute. After the haircut they had to put on their necklaces and have their picture taken together. I plan to put it into their scrapbook for them
. After that I stopped by the house so Rachel could get her clothes. Then I dropped the girls off at Vanessa’s house. I’m really surprised that Rachel was willing to stay the night so soon. I figured she would need some time to warm up to a new place but she dove right in. Vanessa has no clue how lucky she is. That’s kind of an honor.
Kevin took the kids in to the mall as well. The kids are all needing some winter stuff. Austin got a new coat, hat & gloves. Matty got a new beanie and gloves. And Lauren got 2 pair of jeans, a scarf, hat & gloves. Of course, my hubby forgot to get himself some new socks. Just like a parent
.
After they left the mall Austin went to his friends house for the night. Lauren is staying the night with her grandma to help her with some stuff around the house. So it is just Kevin, Matty and I watching Garfield. It is sooo quiet! Well, except for our shar-pei who has to go out and pee every 30 minutes. I wish we could find a place to stick a doggy door.
On the calendar for tomorrow….house cleaning ((puke)).
