Matthew has started a new trend in the house. This isn’t a trend I want to have continue either. He has started wetting himself more often. Thats not the trend though. The trend is that after he wets himself, he changes his pants, and then puts the dirty ones back in the drawer. ![]()
It started with the New Year. Actually, it started before then but that was when I discovered two pairs of pants and a pair of skivvies that had been peed in in his pajama drawer.
Matthew and I had a discussion. Well, it was more me telling Matt that he needed to not put icky clothes in his drawer and him nodding his head a few times. ![]()
He apparently didn’t listen. Not that I thought he really did. Last night I gave Matty a bath. Lauren picked out his pj’s. When I went to help Matt get dressed I noticed that the pants looked used and smelled a smidge like ammonia.
Yes, I did the sniff test. Yes, I instantly regretted it. I told Lauren that they were dirty. She said, “I thought there was too much dog hair on them.”
So my plan is to attempt to get him to throw his peed in clothes in the washer. He can do it inconspicously, since that seems to be what he wants, and they are in a good safe place. I wish I could just potty train him 100% but I know that right now that is unrealistic. Fun times. ![]()
All I can say is …fun….
At least he wants to clean & and do it discreetly. Hope the potty fairy pays you another visit though. It would be nice to have him trained a little more, I am sure.
What is really goofy…and I should have added it to the post…is that he usually keeps on the peed in underwear and puts other pants on top of them. Ewwww. 95% of the time if I bust him having changed his own clothes he will still have on those nasty peed in underwear! Its so odd. I’m not getting it.
Drew does the same thing with his underwear. Sometimes I go in his drawer to get him clean undies and I find four or five pairs of peed-in underwear. Yuck. And lol about you being the only wife your husband could handle.
It is so nasty huh! At least my kid isn’t the only fraggle out there that does that. There sure is comfort in numbers
